Last weekend I headed off on my first Rotary Event – a bus trip down to the Pyrénées (the mountain range that divides France and Spain). It’s about one and a half hours by bus. The weekend is designed to prepare the outgoing French kids and their parents for the coming exchange (though the parents only attended the luncheon on the Saturday morning).

Prior to leaving I was told at a Rotary Weekend for District 9680 to “Record your first impressions – because they will fade fast”.
